Life Talk栏目本期为大家奉上新鲜热辣的编辑部故事之星座篇。Part Two正好反映了天性浪漫的文编Julia和完美挑剔的美编Richard之间的火花。

Part Two Design Discussion二选一还是二合一
双鱼座Julia VS 处女座Richard

Julia: I need to discuss the cover design for the next issue.
Richard: What is wrong with the cover design I gave you?
Julia: It’s just not the direction I was hoping for. The image is not really fresh enough.
Richard: But I worked really hard on that.
Julia: I know. I think your work is great, but I had a different vision in mind.
Richard: I think a cartoon style is something unusual and ¹⁾original.
Julia: ①Don’t get me wrong, you are very creative, it’s just the theme we are going for is more soft and romantic.
Richard: Okay, I understand what you mean. I guess I can try a new design. Sorry for being so ²⁾defensive. ②I guess it’s just in my nature.
Julia: Ha-ha. It’s OK. My dad is a Virgo too, so ③I know you can be very set in your ways.
Richard: Yeah. I’ll try to have more of an open mind.
Julia: I will try also. I usually like the same style: calm and soothing. Pisceans are the dreamers of the world. But I am open to new ideas. So let’s work together on a design that makes us both happy.
Richard: Sounds good to me. What if we went for something that combined both of our visions?
Julia: What do you suggest?
Richard: Well, I like cartoon or ³⁾animated pictures and you like artistic, meaningful photography. What if we chose an animated picture which was emotional and poetic?
Julia: Yeah, that sounds promising. I like this picture. It’s simple, yet it tells a story.
Richard: Hmm, I’m not sure. I like this one. A group of people having a party.
Julia: Oh no! I think it’s too much. ④There is too much going on. It would confuse people.
Richard: But I feel it will attract people’s attention. It’s bright and cheerful.
Julia: I like the idea of bright colours. It’s a positive, up-beat approach.
Richard: Okay. So we agree on bright colours and an animated cover.
Julia: Yeah. And I think a ⁴⁾solitary figure would look best, while you think a group picture is better.
Richard: Ha-ha. Our personalities and star signs really seem to ⁵⁾clash!
Julia: Yeah, but you know what? I think it’s a good thing. If we all thought the same way and had the same ideas, this world would be a very dull and boring place.
Richard: You’re right. I’m willing to ⁶⁾compromise. Let’s go for this bright picture. It is just one character…
Julia: …and it’s a cartoon style. Yeah I think that suits both of our styles.
Richard: Now that is teamwork!

朱莉娅：我要讨论一下下期的封面设计。
理查德：我给你的封面设计有什么问题吗？
朱莉娅：它不是我期望的风格。图片不够清爽。
理查德：但我已经很努力去做了。
朱莉娅：我知道。我想你的设计是不错的，但我脑子里却有不同的想法。

理查德：好的，我明白你的意思。我想我可以尝试新的设计。很抱歉我刚才过于自我保护了。我想那是我的本性。
朱莉娅：哈哈。没关系。我爸爸也是处女座的人，所以我知道你们固执已见。
理查德：是的。我会尝试开放思维的。
朱莉娅：我也会试试看。我通常喜欢同样的风格：平静与舒心的。双鱼座的人是世上的梦想家，但我乐于接受新主意。那么让我们一起努力做出一个令我俩都称心的设计吧。
理查德：听上去不错哦。如果把我俩的构思二合为一会怎样呢？
朱莉娅：你的意思是？
理查德：呃，我喜欢卡通或者动画，而你喜欢有艺术感的和内涵丰富的摄影。如果我们挑选一幅既感性又有诗意的动画会怎样呢？
朱莉娅：对，那听上去很可行啊。我喜欢这幅图。它构图简单但很有故事感。
理查德：嗯，我不太肯定。我喜欢这幅图。一群人在开派对。
朱莉娅：噢，不！我觉得那太喧闹了。画面上有太多东西，会令人眼花缭乱的。
理查德：但我觉得这会吸引人们的注意力。它既明快又欢乐。
朱莉娅：我喜欢明快色彩这个主意。这是积极向上的表达方式。
理查德：好。那么我们同意用明快色彩和动画的封面了。
朱莉娅：是的。我认为孤身一人的图片看上去是最好的，然而你觉得一群人的图片比较好。
理查德：哈哈。我们的性格与星座似乎真的发生碰撞了！
朱莉娅：是啊，但你知道吗？我觉得这是件好事。如果我们以同一个方式去想，而且想法是一模一样的，这个世界会是个非常枯燥无味的地方。
理查德：你说得对。我愿意妥协。让我们就用这幅明亮的图片吧。它只有一个人……
朱莉娅：……而且是一个卡通风格。是啊，我认为这幅图适合我俩的风格。
理查德：那就是团队合作！
